Lately I have been listening to a lot of vinyl. After getting things organized a bit by label, started to play all of my Angel and Seraphim records. These never stood out for me during my vinyl-buying days, but over the years I have picked up quite a few from bargain stores and such.

Michel Beroff plays the piano version of Mussorgsky’s ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’. This is actually an LP I purchased when new, one of the few Angel records I owned. Always thought it was a good recording, and the playing manages to overcome some of Mussorgsky’s heavy textures.
